Rachel Klingler completed both her Bachelors and Masters of Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University and has been working as an occupational therapist in paediatrics for over a decade. She has worked as a direct service provider in private OT clinics, and as a consultant in school, home, and clinical settings. Rachel has provided OT services to children ranging from infancy to 18 years of age with a variety of conditions including autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity, developmental coordination disorder, fine and gross motor delays, and visual perceptual challenges.
Rachel’s quest for knowledge and experience is supported by participation in continuing education courses and her many additional certifications. Rachel has obtained her certification in Sensory Integration (SI), including administering and interpreting the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT), Therapeutic Listening ®, and Infant Massage Instructor Certification. Other continuing education courses include The DIR®/Floortime Model, Cogmed Working Memory Training, Brain Gym ®, and Dynamic and Postural Reflex Pattern Integration from The Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration – MNRI ® Method. Rachel brings many years of experience, enthusiasm, and knowledge to her work with children and values the importance of building rapport with the child as well as the family.
